Our History

Founded in 2009 as part of the renowned ID&T Group, The Support Group emerged as a catalyst for innovation in the global events industry.

The Support Group combined the expertise of diverse specialists to create exceptional and prestigious dance events across borders. In recognition of our progressive and international approach, we were honored with the prestigious Dutch Logistics Prize in 2010.

Building upon this success, in 2017, Marcel Elbertse seized a new opportunity and, together with partners Dick van Berkum, Duncan Stutterheim and Joris Joosen—esteemed entrepreneurs in the events sector—acquired ID&T's The Support Group.

Today, we continue to foster collaboration and information exchange among diverse disciplines. From food & beverages to creative engineering and digital event support, driving innovation and professionalization in the events landscape.
